Welcome to the official website of The Boy from Bantay, a solo play by Jeremy Rafal! This is a semi-autobiographical show that combines scenes, monologues, classical music, images, and cartoons projected on a vintage TV. The show received its world premiere at The New York International Fringe Festival – FringeNYC 2015. The show made its European debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2025 where it received an Asian Arts Award in Outstanding Male Performer.
Following an acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe run, The Boy from Bantay was warmly received at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival in June of 2026. In 2027, this celebrated show will be coming back to New York and the UK for a longer run. Check back often for updates.
